I’m Nick Foster, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Dean of Students at L.H. Rather. As a Bonham ISD Alum, every day I’m excited to contribute to an environment where students and staff can thrive. I attended Bonham ISD from kindergarten through twelfth grade and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that grew me.
My journey in education began as an instructional aid for four years. I quickly realized that education is my passion, and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Learning and Technology from Texas A&M University Commerce. Over the past five years, I have served as a classroom teacher, teaching a variety of grade levels and disciplines. More recently, I graduated from Lamar University with my Master's in Educational Leadership. As a teacher, it was my goal to make the largest impact on students' lives that I could. As an administrator, I will strive to widen that impact on a greater level.
One of the things I’m most passionate about is increasing student engagement, supporting teacher development, encouraging vertical and standard alignment, increasing lesson rigor, and unlocking student and staff potential. I believe that creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment is crucial for student success, and I work closely with our team to make sure L.H. Rather is a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired.
I’m genuinely excited about the future and look forward to continuing to support our amazing students and staff at L.H. Rather. Together, I’m confident we can achieve great things and make a lasting impact on our community.
