I grew up in Colbert, Oklahoma, and attended the public schools from Kindergarten - 12th grade. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from LeTourneau University.

My wife Amy and I have two children. Sidney and her husband James reside in Van Alstyne, TX, and have given me my first grandchild Carolina. Sidney attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and now teaches at Van Alstyne. Abbey is attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University as she pursues her degree in Elementary Education.
